Join us for our first 2014 short-term medical mission DAY TRIP to Mexico, ON SATURDAY, April 26th. PROJECT COMPASSION STARTED OUT DOING DAY TRIPS IN TIJUANA IN THE EARLY 1990’S BUT BORDER REGULATIONS MADE THE TRIPS IMPOSSIBLE OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS. WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO DO ONE AT THIS TIME AND WILL plan to do many more if all goes well.
We will travel to northern Baja to a community called “Real de ROSARITA”. We will be working with Baja Presbyterian missions and their outreach to that community. We will meet at the Project Compassion office at 7:00am and travel as a group across the border at Otay Mesa. We plan TO run the clinic from 10:00am – 4:00pm. We never know how long it will take to cross back into the us, so please keep that in mind and be flexible. We do have some special people working with us and are told we will be “fast tracked” across the border.
The cost is $50.00 PER PERSON to help pay for medicine and gas. You may pack a lunch. The hosts may feed us there but it would be wise to be prepared.
This team LIST is already filling up, so PLEASE sign up soon. We need TWO RN’s, TWO LVN or MA’s, ONE Pharmacist and a few non-medical workers. TRANSLATORS ARE NEEDED AS WELL!
