Madagascar October 12-24 $3800.00
Project Compassion is extending our reach beyond the southeastern coast of Africa to the fourth largest island in the world, as we seek to prepare a medical mission team to join with missionary Aaron Santmyire and his family in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
When people hear the word Madagascar they normally think of the famous animated movie and lemurs. However, this fascinating island is much more than that. There are many unique things here; almost all of the flora and fauna are unique to this wonderful island, including the Lemur Monkeys and must-be-see-to-be-believed see-through Chameleons. The ecology of Madagascar has led some scientists to refer to the country as the “eighth continent” of the world. It is also known to have the friendliest people in the world where you instantly feel at home. Although, the official languages are Malagasy and French, English is widely spoken especially in the tourist spots. It is one of the poorest countries in the world but also one of the safest in Africa thanks to the unique Malagasy culture. Come join us for an experience of a lifetime!!
We will be flying through South Africa arriving in the capital city of Madagascar where we will have 4 days of clinic and a day of experiencing our missionary’s church community. We will then have 3 days in the jungle included in the itinerary. If you would like to extend your trip at your own expense beyond that, you could at the end. (Please watch the informative video to see what Aaron and his team are doing there in Madagascar).
